Statistics about the age of Meijin tournament participants during last 25 years you can see at http://shogipro.narod.ru/meijinagee.html. Players are divided on 8 age categories.

I found the tables of Meijin tournaments with age of participants and then summarized information that i found. Soon new data will be added to this topic.
